I’m not sure I had much say in my career, my mum taught high aerobics right up until I was born. Walking by 9 months, she soon realised she had a hyperactive child on her hands, forever somersaulting on the sofa as she describes. She now admits she put me into gymnastics to get rid of my energy at the age of 3.


I showed early signs of talent and was advised by the teacher to join my local gymnastics club (Mayfield Gymnastics club) and I became part of there mini squad. As I grew up my passion and love for the sport soon shone through, and I was elected and won young sports person of the year for Wandsworth.


My Career as a gymnast took a backseat, and I qualified at 14 years old to teach gymnastics. I furthered my education at university studying Sports Science and PE and currently teach gymnastics in several primary schools and prepare selected children for competitions. Alongside this I work in a secondary school helping teenagers with their fitness and in their sport lessons. Applying my knowledge and using my experience helping others achieve and being part of that process, is so rewarding.


It was at university my love for fitness and lifting weights developed and I had a desire to compete. That feeling of bettering yourself every time you step foot into the gym becomes addictive. I love the feeling and that’s my drive.


I competed this year for the first time in a bikini contest and won my class and overall bikini. I was invited to the UK and International championship in October with the hope to compete in LA in November as part of the UK team.
